Time Tunnel, Tour Guides
The Time Tunnel is the magical walk our guests will take from 2025 back in time. Once the doors open, they will be greeted by a friendly shepherd who will be their guide through Bethlehem. The dark tunnel will be lined with lit trees and will have a special surprise as they walk through – a HORSE! This will be their first interaction Bethlehem and give them an idea of what to anticipate as they approach the doors of Herod’s Palace.
The Tour Guides are dressed as shepherds and given a script to follow, they guide our guests through the town and explain the Christmas story to each group. Experience in public speaking and/or acting is preferred for this role. Each Tour Guide will remain with their tour group through Bethlehem until they reach the end and enter the second time tunnel back to 2025.
We will be looking for friendly, engaging, and outgoing individuals who will be able to remain in character through the entire tour. Tour Guides will be required to attend the Wardrobe-Fitting Day – Saturday, November 8, 9am-3pm (each guide will be given a specific one-hour time slot), the Dress Rehearsal – Saturday, December 6, 10am-12noon, and must arrive 90-minutes before tours begin on show days (for wardrobe, preparation, and prayer).
Volunteers Needed for the Time Tunnel and Tour Guides:
Decorators - To set up all trees, wrap with lights, add burlap over bases, etc.
