Centurions, Herod’s Palace

Before leaving the Time Tunnel, guests meet their first centurion. These strong yet mostly silent men can be found all throughout Jerusalem and Bethlehem, protecting the King and keeping order in the streets.  This is also an important role for ensuring security in the town of Bethlehem.

Once permitted to enter Herod’s Palace, our guests enter a loud and royal hall where King Herod is being entertained by dancers. Our guests then get a front row seat to the magi informing Herod of a new king who would change the world.  They witness the outrage of King Herod and listen to his plan to destroy this new king, before they are commanded unceremoniously out of the palace.

We will be looking for lead speaking roles which will require memorization, as well as non-speaking roles (see below). All actors will be required to attend the Wardrobe-Fitting Day – Saturday, November 8, 9am-3pm (each actor will be given a specific one-hour time slot), the Dress Rehearsal – Saturday, December 6, 10am-12noon, and must arrive 90-minutes before tours begin on show days (for wardrobe, preparation, and prayer).
